Large Bills Please

We attended a Renovators Happy Hour, sponsored by Acorn, last night at this bank in Manchester near our house. The bank was built in 1915. Abandoned for so long, the woman who bought it is restoring it back to original conditions and plans to live in it. The city website says it asseses for a cool 74G. They started last week and plan to be finished by September. The inside was so incredible and what a great chance to see inside before everything changed. How great would it be to have a vault in your living room. We also had the great time meeting This Decrepit Victorian for the first time.

I'll take that in all $1000's. Could you imagine? $74 ain't such a bad price. . .but then again, I didn't see it. No zoning restrictions?
Not a bad price but the money she's going to put into it will be insane. Not sure about the zoning restrictions. She talked about renting part of it out as a banquet hall.
It cool to meet y'all. This inter-web thing is pretty neat...
Those 2 banks were AWESOME and terrible. I couldn't imagine having to renovate either of those. I am a little jealous that masonry buildings can take so much abuse and still keep standing.

No doubt! The structure and the brick work still looked pretty good, didn't it.
