They're Here
Since we bought our house, this thing has been the eye sore of the neighborhood. It now looks like they are cleaning it out. Rumor has it it was the first house on the block somewhere in the early 1900's. It has since been split into three apartments and no one has lived in it since the inside burnt out.

How cool could that place be with a little work!
No doubt. I would love to find some old pictures of it.
finally someone is doing SOMETHING with it!
My boyfriend and I moved to the 3500 block of Moody Ave. this past June. Thanks for posting about the pink monstrosity down the street. We were wondering what it was. Your house looks amazing - great work!
Thanks Lisa. Welcome to the neighborhood! How did you find our blog?
I was actually searching for any old photographs that may have been taken of the neighborhood from back "in the day" and came across your site. Have you had to tackle replacing any window? We're looking into vinyl but I have my reservations, mostly about how they might look.
Nice. I've been meaning to get to the library to do a little research myself. If you come across any we'ld love to see them.
When we moved in none of the windows would open and more than a few were broken out. We got our contractor to "refurbish" them but he did such a crappy job, lately I've been thinking about vinyl myself. Especially watching the curtains move when the wind blows. =) Some friends have has theirs replaced and I don't mind the look so much.
Great Job
interesting topic , I would like to read more on this topic and about house paint .
